Our CorrespondentWokha, Sep. 3 (EMN): A renovated Ayush Health and Wellness Centre (AHWC) in Lotsu village under Sanis sub-division of Wokha district was dedicated on September 3 in the presence of the deputy chief medical officer of Wokha, Dr. Zuben Kikon. It was informed that prior to the renovation, the medical centre was run by a medical staff without a doctor. However, with renovation and dedication of the medical centre, a medical officer would be posted at the centre, informed by R Thechamo Ovung, chairman of Lotsu village council. During the dedication programme, medicines along with oxygen cylinders were handed over to Dr. Thungjanthung Ovung, the medical officer of AHWC, Lotsu. The renovation of the building included construction of one chamber for doctors, a yoga hall and electrification. The centre was dedicated by Rev. R Zaremo Tsanglao, while R Thechamo Ovung, chairman of Lotsu village council, chaired the dedication programme.

Nagaland: BJP Wokha organises free medical camp

Dimapur, June 23 (EMN): A free medical camp was organised at Yanthamo village under the aegis of BJP Wokha district as part of the ‘Seva Sushasan Aur Gareep Kalyan Parv’ programme to mark the eight years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi government. An update informed that more than 300 people and several octogenarians attended and benefitted from the medical camp. Speaking to the gathering, Y Kikon, president of BJP Wokha said that the free medical camp is a part of various social welfare activities undertaken by the party and is sponsored by Yanthungo Patton, Deputy CM and Home minister. He further informed that the next free medical camp will be held at Mekokla Village, 40th A/C on June 25, which will be sponsored by Mmhonlumo Kikon, Advisor NRE.
