Brahmanbaria District Bar Association has made “a dark spot” in the country’s legal history as they have scandalised the entire lawyers’ community by using force, the High Court said yesterday.
The High Court yesterday blasted the president and two other lawyers of Brahmanbaria District Bar Association (BDBA) for misbehaving with the judge of Nari O Shishu Nirjaton Tribunal-1 and creating chaos in the courtroom on January 2.
The lawyers in Brahmanbaria yesterday partially withdrew their ongoing court boycott programme after the law minister assured them of resolving their issues with two judges in the district.
The High Court today summoned 21 lawyers from Brahmanbaria court to explain the allegation of contempt of court for chanting indecent slogans against the district judge during recent court sessions.
