Video conferencing platform Zoom is set to roll out a new update that will offer support for the latest Apple Silicon Macs that power the M1 MacBook Air, MacBook Pro, and Mac mini.
This was discovered in the release notes of the update that is set to be rolled out on December 21.
“Support for Apple Silicon processors – Zoom desktop clients will better support computers with ARM CPUs. A separate installer is available for download in the Zoom Download Center,” says Zoom in its release notes.

Just in time for the Christmas holiday, Zoom will be launching its native app for Apple Silicon M1 Mac devices to make it easier for Mac owners to spend the holidays with their loved ones via Zoom as part of the new normal routine due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to 9to5Mac, the Zoom app will begin supporting Mac M1 devices this Monday, December 21.
Based on the release notes by the video conferencing software, the company will also be releasing a separate installer for M1 Macs, which can be downloaded in the Zoom Download Center.
You can now download a version of Zoom designed for Apple silicon.
