Who s on Board is a series highlighting local boards and committees on Cape Cod and the people who serve on them.
ORLEANS In the spring of 2019, Tracy Murphy found herself talking with other parents in Orleans about the need for recreational activities to keep their children active and engaged.
“We wanted more programming, more activities for kids, support for working families, so we went to the Select Board,” she said.
The board listened to their concerns and threw the ball back in their court.
“If you say you want a voice loud enough, and they give you a voice, you have to step up to the plate,” she said.
