Iran Tests New “Smart” Missile with 300km Strike Range Our Bureau 2533
Iran has test-fired a new medium-range smart missile that can fly as far as 300km.
“The missile is prepared for deployment in defense of our homeland.
We are trying for our armaments in the area to firstly be smart, secondly be capable of automatic control function, and thirdly be surgical in nature,” Brigadier General Kioumars Heydari, commander of the Iranian Army’s Ground Force, was quoted as saying by government-owned PressTV Sunday.
The location where the test was held was not revealed by the Ground Force commander.
Heydari noted that the test-firing was gauging the missile s precision of strike and destruction power.

The US military flew two B-52H bombers from Louisiana to the Middle East on Thursday, however, the aircrafts that flew through the region did not drop any bombs.

The bomber mission comes as the US military believes there is a heightened chance for Iranian actions or miscalculations, a senior US military official with knowledge of the region told NBC News.
