Camden Hills varsity, JV girls lacrosse teams earn thrilling victories

Tuesday, May 11, 2021 AUGUSTA  The Camden Hills girls lacrosse program traveled Wednesday, May 19 to Augusta to challenge Cony in what turned out to be a nail-biting victory for the visiting Windjammers in the varsity game, and an exciting shutout victory for Camden Hills in the junior varsity game.  The varsity team will host Bangor for its next contest Saturday, May 22 at noon.  The junior varsity team will be off until it travels with the varsity squad Monday, May 24 to challenge Erskine Academy.  Varsity: Camden Hills 9, Cony 8 Leading the offensive charge for Camden Hills in its 9-8 victory were Ruby Cohen (assist), Anna Griebel (goal), Bella Ward (goal), Grace Cody (goal, two assists), Caroline Contento (three goals), Anya Babb-Brott (three goals, assist), Ella Powers (assist).

Camden Hills varsity, JV girls lacrosse fall to Mount Ararat

Tuesday, May 11, 2021 ROCKPORT  The Camden Hills varsity girls lacrosse team was edged out at home Monday, May 17 in a nail-biter against Mount Ararat.  The host Windjammers fell to the visiting Eagles 10-9, after being knotted at six at the halftime pause.  Leading the offensive charge for the Windjammers were Ruby Cohen (assist), Anna Griebel (goal), Isabella Ward (goal), Sofia Mott (two goals), Caroline Contento (goal two assists), Alexia Cazemajou (two assists), Anya Babb-Brott (three goals) and Ella Powers (goal). Scoring for Mount Ararat were E. Dauulerio (two goals), M. Kinney (six goals), G. Phillips (goal) and E. Harty (goal). First names were not available.

Tue, 05/11/2021 - 10:45pm BATH  The Camden Hills varsity girls lacrosse team extended its winning streak to four Tuesday, May 11 in Bath against Morse. The junior varsity squad, meanwhile, fell to Morse.  In the varsity showdown, Camden Hills dominated the hosts early, taking an 8-2 advantage into the halftime pause before doubling its tally for a final of 16-4.  Camden Hills was guided to victory by Anna Griebel (assist), Bella Ward (two goals, assist), Grace Cody (two goals), Caroline Contento (four goals, assist), Alexia Cazemajou (five goals, assist), Anya Babb-Brott (goal, two assists), Ava Baeza (assist), Ella Powers (goal) and Sofia Mott (goal).
