IN 1995, the children of the Hindpool nursery went down to the woods to seek out where the teddy bears were having their picnic. CUDDLES: Zoe Davey and Siobhan Dodd, both four, pictured at the picnic in 1995 with their teddy bears The excited youngsters were invited as part of a 132-child group on an adventure in Barrow park. Everyone took part in a special sponsored stroll, before sitting down to a scrumptious picnic. Every child and most of the staff members were accompanied to the picnic with their own teddy bear, who they could enjoy the food and sunshine with. The money raised from the stroll would go toward celebrating the nursery s 21st birthday at a big part that was held on June 21 that year.
