Janet F. Williams’ second novel, “Talk to Me,” took its sweet time making it from Williams’ pen to the public. But after more than 10 years, multiple drafts and two publishers, Williams’ novel a lesbian romance written under her pen name, Zoe Amos is being released by Sapphire Books on March 1.
The novel covers less than one eventful year in the life of Claire Larson, a 40-something about-to-be-divorced wife and mother who discovers many new things about herself while working for Marly, a lesbian shock jock at a fictional San Diego talk-radio station.
From a whirlwind few years in radio to an unpredictable romantic life that has included two marriages to men and a long-term relationship with a woman, there is a lot of Williams wrapped up in Claire and Marly’s story, which makes the appearance of “Talk To Me” after all this time even sweeter.
