Zimmerman Foundation awards grants
The Blair E. and Anna L. Zimmerman Foundation committee awarded grants in January to organizations providing arts education and greenspace development in Tuscarawas County.
The Sustainable Wildlife Area Restoration Movement was given $8,500 to develop and restore greenspace and pollinator habitats in the city of Uhrichsville and at Claymont High School.
Artsnct Inc. was given $8,000 to build a children’s outdoor creative space in Newcomerstown, part of the Arts for All project offering arts education, programming and performance to the public in the tri-county area.
The Zimmerman Foundation was established by the late Blair E. and Anna L. Zimmerman to support qualified tax-exempt organizations in Tuscarawas County whose purpose is charitable, educational, scientific, literary or religious. Grants from the foundation are to be used for capital improvements or other capital expenditures.
