Charges against three Calgary police officers, who were accused of failing to test for the blood alcohol level of a driver associated with a 2012 fatal crash, have officially been withdrawn.
The Calgary Police Service has apologized to the families of two people killed in a crosswalk by a driver who confessed to police he’d been drinking and expressed concern he would go to jail for drunk driving.
With no explanation given, all charges were withdrawn Wednesday against three police officers accused of failing in their duties the night a confessed drunk driver killed two pedestrians.
