The traffic department in an advisory said no vehicle shall be allowed in the opposite direction.
“The weight-bearing capacity of installed bailey bridge is less than 40 metric ton,” reads the advisory.
“LMVs will have to cross Srinagar from 12:00 pm to 03:00 pm and Zig Qazigund from 1:00 pm to 04:00 pm and no Vehicle shall be allowed after cut off timing,” it said.
It said that only stranded heavy motor vehicles between Nashree and Banihal shall be allowed towards Srinagar.
“Government Forces are advised/requested not to ply against advisory/traffic plan in view of traffic congestion on Jammu-Srinagar NHW and narrowness of Bailey bridge. They may ply from Jammu towards Srinagar after confirming the status of highway,” it added.
SRINAGAR: Traffic department authorities on Wednesday said that on Thursday subject to fair weather and better road condition only one-way traffic shall be allowed from Srinagar towards Jammu including Banihal-Ramban (local traffic) on Jammu-Srinagar highway.

SRINAGAR: Traffic department authorities on Sunday said that in wake of fair weather and road condition all kinds of vehicles would be allowed to travel from Srinagar towards Jammu in a regulated manner on Monday. However, TCU Srinagar shall liaise with TCU Ramban before releasing the traffic.
