AT News KABUL: The Afghan security brass have blamed the Taliban group for carrying dozens of terrorist attacks in Afghanistan and twisted in the direction of soft targets after they were defeated in the battlefields. Head of the National Directorate of Security (NDS), General Zia Saraj said that militants had carried out more than 18,200 attacks in the past one year. “Taliban behind 99 percent of these attacks,” he said. Speaking to the senators on Tuesday, Mr. Saraj said that NDS operatives had arrested over 6,000 terrorists in the past one year on charges of different offenses and 3,600 among them were involved in terrorist activities. 270 of them were involved in targeted killings, Mr. Saraj said.
