Malaysian child with leukemia recovers after treatment in Taiwan

Taipei, Feb. 9 (CNA) A 21-month-old Malaysian child with leukemia has successfully recovered after undergoing a year of treatment at Taichung Veterans General Hospital, and he will return home soon with his family, the hospital said Monday.
Ng Zi Heng was diagnosed with acute lymphoblastic leukemia when he was eight weeks old, after his parents felt a lump near his stomach, according to his mother. We were told that Zi Heng s chance of survival was very low because he was so young. It was very hard to accept, his mother said.
