Stanford Light Opera Company’s performance of “Sweeney Todd” left the audience stunned, not only due to the violent nature of the story but also the excellent singing and acting from the cast, writes Kristofer Nino.
The Players has announced the return of theatre for the young – and the young at heart – with The Emperor’s New Clothes, opening July 15th at 10:30am! Directed and choreographed by Ilyse Robbins, with music direction by Tim Goss, The Emperor’s New Clothes will be performed by the amazing Players’ Second Company.
The Players' stage comes roaring back to life with Cabaret, the daring, bold, and provocative classic musical, with music by John Kander, lyrics by Fred Ebb, and a book by Joe Masteroff. This celebrated, show-stopping, musical masterpiece is the first mainstage Players' production to return indoors since February of 2020. Cabaret opens on Thursday, June 23rd and runs until Sunday, July 3rd.
