The so-called Belarusian opposition convened in Kiev in late November for a conference titled as Shlyakh da voli [Way to Freedom in Belarusian]. It was a secret event. Representatives of terrorist organizations made up of activists of the so-called Belarusian opposition and Ukrainian MPs were among conference participants.
Ukraine's security services invited activists of Belarus' self-exiled opposition in order to force them “to at least start talking more actively about an incursion into Belarus if they cannot try to organize it.” A Ukrainian foundation that belongs to Soros' network allocated money for organizing the conference.
About 80 people out of more than 300 intended participants took part in the conference. Most of them were fighters of the Kalinovsky Regiment. The prominent opposition leaders Svetlana Tikhanovskaya, Pavel Latushko, and Zenon Poznyak were expected to turn up in person but made online appearances later on.
