COVID-19 by the numbers Over the weekend, New Mexico health officials reported 358 new COVID-19 cases: 198 on Saturday and 160 on Sunday. In Santa Fe County, there were 13 new cases four on Saturday and nine on Sunday. There have now been 188,311 total cases, 166,437 designated as recovered by the health department. The state also announced five additional deaths: three on Saturday and two on Sunday. There have now been 3,852 total fatalities. As of yesterday, 118 people were hospitalized with COVID-19. Nearly 46% of people who have registered for a vaccine through the health department s vaccine registry have received at least one dose, and approximately 23% are fully vaccinated. The figures come via a new DOH dashboard showing vaccinations by the phases of the state s vaccination plan just for those vaccinated via the state s registry. Those receiving vaccinations through the state system represent approximately 60% of all vaccinations, with 40% coming from other providers.
