New businesses owners in Alberta will be able to apply for the province’s expanded relaunch grant in February, but some say the qualifications keep them from getting as much help as established businesses.
The requirements and eligibility will be the same for new companies and established ones, but the months used to calculate revenue loss which then determines the grant amount are different.

Entrepreneurs in Edmonton have found a way to open since March hundreds of them despite the toll the COVID-19 pandemic has had on the economy forcing many others to close.
