ABU DHABI, 3rd May 2021 (WAM) - A global panel of experts called attention to the critical importance of ensuring community resilience by creating stronger social bonds between the government and its people and ensuring that society is equipped to withstand and recover from adversity, specifically underscoring the role of the private sector and civil organisations in facilitating this resilience.
Titled ‘For the Greater Good: Innovations for More Resilient Global Communities,’ the Majlis featured on Monday a discussion between H.H. Sheikh Dheyab bin Zayed Al Nahyan, and key contributors Salama Al Amimi, Director General of the Authority of Social Contribution (Ma’an); Sir Geoff Mulgan, Professor of Collective Intelligence, Public Policy and Social Innovation at University College London; and Fadi Ghandour, Co-Founder of Aramex and Executive Chairman of Wam
Abu Dhabi: If the COVID-19 pandemic has proven anything, it is that the world can only face diseases and outbreaks by coming together, Sheikh Hamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, member of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council, said.
“Our best bet is to continue collaborating across borders to lay solid foundations for action, encourage the exchange of expertise between countries and rally international efforts to face any health challenges that may arise in the future,” Sheikh Hamed told the virtual Majlis Mohamed bin Zayed on Monday.
