Two Killeen men were indicted by a Bell County grand jury earlier this week on armed assault charges after police said they shot a woman who was caught in the crossfire during an incident at a convenience store last year.
Zaveon Hakhem Cummings and Emilio Ivan Terrazas, both 19 years old, were indicted on second-degree felony charges of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
Terrazas was not listed in Bell County custody on Wednesday but Cummings was being held in jail in lieu of bonds totaling $224,000. In addition to the aggravated assault charge, Cummings is facing charges of theft of property, a second-degree felony; tampering or fabricating evidence, a third-degree felony, and misdemeanor charges of evading arrest or detention and unlawful carrying of a weapon.

KILLEEN, Texas - The Killeen Police Department says they have apprehended a second suspect wanted in a December 2020 shooting at a convenience store that left a woman injured.
19-year-old Emilio Terrazas was charged in December with aggravated assault in connection with the shooting at Mickey s Convenience Store in the 2100 block of S WS Young Drive.
Killeen police say on Feb. 8 around 5:30 p.m., officers attempted to conduct a traffic stop on a red Kia sedan on Old FM 1440 when the driver refused to stop. Officers initiated a pursuit which ended in the area of Bull Run Drive and Fieldcrest Drive. The driver came to a stop and both occupants fled on foot.
One of the suspects in a Killeen shooting on Dec. 6 has been arrested.
Zaveon Hakhem Cummings, 18, was located and arrested by members of the US Marshals Service â Gulf Coast Regional Fugitive Task Force at a residence in Tomball, according to a Killeen Police Department news release.
Cummings and Emilio Terrazas, 19, both from Killeen, are suspects in the Dec. 6 shooting that injured a victim in the 2100 block of W.S. Young Drive.
Terrazas, who is still at large and considered armed and dangerous, is also a person of interest in the Sunday shooting on Alma Drive, which injured three, according to the release.

The two men were in a grey 4-door hatchback and were attempting to shoot at a man in a red car. A woman who was parked in between both vehicles was unfortunately caught in the crossfire and was shot.
The male in the red car and the men in the grey hatchback fled the scene. Officers arrived on scene and found the woman suffering from a gunshot wound. The woman was transported to a hospital with non-life threatening injuries.
