Kargil, May 08 (Scoop News)-Sub Divisional Magistrate Zanskar Sonam Dorjay along with OC Project Yojak Capt. Aviral Tripathi, Assistant Executive Engineer, JEs, PWD, Tehsil Supply Officer Zanskar and Sarpanch of Kargaik on Saturday visited Lungnak Block to redress the problems of the valley.
During the tour, the visiting officials identified land for the establishment of New Diets and RCC Camps for the newly sanctioned project Yojak for the construction of Nimo Padum–Darcha (NPD) road. The land was identified at village Anmu, Cha, Kuru, Kargaik, Lakhan and Sinkula Top.
En route, SDM Zanskar also reviewed the progress of ongoing works of Jal Jeevan Mission (JJM). Public delegations also met the SDM at Kargaik, Tangze, Kuru and Cha.
The residents raised various issues of their respective villages including land composition, link roads, irrigation canals, completion of roads sanctioned under various schemes and opening of LPG Gas Sale Centre at Kargaik.

KARGIL, May 27: On the second day of his tour of the Zanskar Sub Division, Member Parliament (MP) Ladakh Jamyang Tsering Namgyal today reviewed the progress of COVID-19 preparedness and vaccination besides healthcare facilities being provided to patients at Community Health Centre (CHC) Padum.
Block Medical Officer (BMO) Zanskar Dr Stanzin Namgyal while apprising the MP about status of progress achieved with regard to COVID-19 vaccination in the Sub Division so far, said that 100 percent vaccination has been covered in case of the beneficiaries above 60 years while 80 percent progress has been achieved in terms of vaccination of the above 45 years of population. He further informed that vaccination in case of the 18 to 45 years of age population is presently going on in the Sub Division.

KARGIL, Jan 30: As part of Zanskar Winter Sports and Youth Festival 2021, a Snow skiing competition was held at Padum, here today.
Secretary Youth Services and Sports Ladakh, Ravinder Kumar was the chief guest and he inaugurated the competition.
Councillor Cha Stanzin Lakpa, Under Secretary Power Dr Ashwani Hansa, Under Secretary Sports Chand Singh, OSD to Secretary Sports Dr Tanzin Thakchos, Under Secretary Tourism Shabir Hussain, Sub Divisional Magistrate (SDM) Zanskar Sonam Dorjay besides Sub-Divisional officers, sports lovers and large number of local people were also present.
