Zanesville committee to discuss ‘Downtown Outdoor Refreshment Area’
ZANESVILLE, Ohio – The Zanesville City Council Community Development Committee will discuss Monday the establishment of a Downtown Outdoor Refreshment Area, also know as a DORA.
Within a DORA, restaurant or bar patrons are able to carry open containers in specific DORA cups during specified times. Marietta’s Main Street Program proposed a DORA for their city as a way to encourage patrons to spend more time in their downtown area visiting retailers and bars and restaurants. The Marietta City Council is currently in the final stages of considering the DORA legislation.
The Zanesville Community Development Committee meeting is at 5 p.m. Monday and is available via teleconference. More information about accessing the meeting is available at COZ.org.
