district. sonia good morning. reporter: good morning there was a gas leak here at a home on the 1800 block of 33rd avenue right behind me. the fire department got everyone out of the home and people at four other homes in the area then pg&e went to the power pole and shut off the electricity to the home with the leak. it was a high percentage of gas in the home when you flip switches, electrical switches and things like that you can create a spark, so to be cautious we went up and had it shut off from the pole instead. reporter: all evacuees are back in their homes now except the family whose home had the leak because the fire department damaged a valve trying to shut off the gas. the people that live in the home here behind me are staying away until that valve is repaired. we will keep you posted as we learn more. sonia shin in san francisco. checks could be in the mail later this week for victims of the san bruno pipeline explosion. the san bruno city council will c
