Freshman Lauryn Selvaraj has been helping Gunn with her pitching. She’s decided to add her offense to the equation in her past couple of appearances.
Selvaraj threw a four-hitter over five innings in Gunn’s 16-1 victory over host Saratoga in a SCVAL El Camino Division game Monday. She also added a pair of hits and drove in two runs as the Titans (9-0, 7-0) remain undefeated on the season.
Cupertino (11-1, 6-1) beat host Palo Alto (2-5, 2-5), 19-2, Monday to stay within a game of the Titans. Gunn hosts Palo Alto on Wednesday afternoon.
Palo Alto dropped a 14-8 decision to visiting Monta Vista on Monday.

Menlo took an early lead and then held on to beat visiting Serra, 11-8, in a WCAL contest Monday.
Carter Jung and Bradford Tudor each scored three goals and recorded an assist for the Knights (2-0), who travel to play St. Ignatius on Friday.
Sam Scola scored twice and Keane Murphy added two assists along with a goal. Ben Banatao and Sam Randal also scored for Menlo. Bax Barlow recorded nine saves.
