A 14-year-old boy has been identified as the victim killed by injuries suffered an off-roading accident in Washington County on Friday.
Zan McQuivey, a student from Crimson Cliffs Middle School who was described by family members as a kind and happy 14-year-old boy, was critically injured after the side-by-side off-highway vehicle he was operating crashed in the Purple Hills area of Warner Valley, according to a release issued by the Utah Division of Parks and Recreation.
A 38-year-old male passenger was also injured in the accident. Neither McQuivey nor the unidentified passenger appeared to have been wearing helmets or seatbelts at the time of the crash, according to the release. As of late Monday, the incident was still under investigation.
