City Hall of Zamboanga(PNA file photo) ZAMBOANGA CITY - The city health office (CHO) has recorded 30 new recoveries from coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) infections, increasing the cumulative total of recovered cases here to 21,053 as of Monday night. The Zamboanga Task Force on Covid-19 data tracker released on Tuesday showed that the total recovered cases represented a 94.06-percent recovery rate from this city's cumulative 22,381 confirmed cases since March last year. The data tracker also showed that active Covid-19 cases decreased to 257 from 270 over the past two days. Dr. Dulce Amor Miravite, CHO chief, attributed the decrease of Covid-19 cases to various factors that include the strict compliance of the safety health protocols. Mayor Maria Isabelle Climaco-Salazar, local IATF-EID chairperson, said Tuesday she supports the proposal to allow children in public places this December once the community quarantine restriction goes down to Alert Level 2 from the current Alert Level 3. "This (shift to Alert Level 2) will allow minors to experience the multi-million Christmas decorations on display of the city government," she said in a statement. City Hall of Zamboanga(PNA file photo) ZAMBOANGA CITY - The number of recovered cases from the coronavirus disease 2019 (Covid-19) here has increased to 20,557 with the addition of 71 new recoveries as of November 25. The 20,557 recoveries represent 92.28 percent of the 22,142 total recorded confirmed cases, based on the Zamboanga Task Force Covid-19 data tracker released Friday. The data showed that the highest recoveries are from the community with 19,196 representing 86.69 of the recovered cases, followed by locally stranded individuals with 379. The rest of the recovered cases were the following: detainees, 320; authorized persons outside residence (APOR), 290; persons deprived of liberty, 214; Bureau of Correction (BuCor), 67 Bureau of Jail Management and Penology personnel, 62; returning overseas Filipinos, 25; and, returning residents from Malaysia, four.
