Police arrest Kaoma man for killing his mother – Zambia: News Diggers!

POLICE in Kaoma District of Western Province have arrested a 40-year-old man for allegedly murdering his 59-year-old biological mother for unknown reasons. The deceased is said to have sustained cuts on both hands and a deformed face as the suspect, Kennedy Muleya, allegedly used a door frame which had protruding nails in the act. This is according to a statement issued by Zambia Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo on Sunday. “Police in Kaoma District of Western Province have arrested a male adult alleged to have murdered his biological mother aged 59. The Murder is reported to have occurred on March 13, 2021 between 16:00 hours and 17:00 hours at Kalukundwe area of John Muleya village in Kaoma district in which Munsaka Mweetwa aged 48 of Chindama Village in Chief Mutondo reported that his aunt identified as Sarah Munkombwe aged 59 was murdered by her biological son identified as Kennedy Muleya. Zambia : 19 year old arrested for creating fake social media accounts for Inspector General of Police

Police in Lusaka have charged and arrested a 19 year old suspect identified as Aaron Luyako aged 19 for personating a public Officer and Obtaining money by false pretense. This follows investigations into a matter in which a fake Instagram account was opened in the name of the Inspector General of Police, Mr. Kakoma Kanganja. Investigations revealed that the instagram account had been opened using mobile number 0972493805. The same mobile number was used to open other social media accounts on facebook and Whats App in the Inspector General’s names Kakoma Kanganja inviting members of the public to meet the Inspector General of Police.

Zambia : Zambia Police is ready to enforce the law

The Zambia Police has thanked families of the late former National Prosecutor Nsama Chipyoka and United Party for National Development supporter (UPND) Joseph Kaunda for interring their beloved ones in a dignified manner. Zambia Police Spokesperson Esther Katongo regretted the deaths of the two which she alleged happened as a result of public disturbance, when the UPND leader Hakainde Hichilema appeared for questioning at Police Headquarters. Speaking in a statement availed to ZANIS in Lusaka, Ms. Katongo disclosed that the Police are aware of the 32 busses that were used to ferry UPND carders to Police Headquarters in guise of giving solidarity to their party leader and have since instituted investigations with the view to impound them.
