Throughout elementary school, Rodrika Bailey Scott had no difficulty getting her son Jayden to do his school work. He was a bright student, always did as he was told, and thrived in his educational setting.
That changed as the fifth-grader entered Isle of Hope Middle School during the pandemic when everyone was still grappling with COVID-19 sickness and deaths and wondering when (and if) life would return to normal as we knew it.
