OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - The Kentucky Wesleyan College menâs basketball team ended the week just as it started with a win over Ohio Dominican University. The Panthers picked-up their fifth win in a row with a dominating 67-43 performance at the historic Sportscenter. For the first time since 2017-18 Wesleyan has won five consecutive games and the first time since the 2016-17 season where they won five straight Great Midwest Conference games.
ODU (3-7, 3-6 GMAC) scored the opening basket of the game. Zach Hopewell answered seconds later and the Panthers (10-4, 9-4 GMAC) never trailed again. The Panthers opened the game on a 15-3 run before ODU managed to connect on anther field goal. NORTH CANTON, OH (WFIE) - A program with a rich basketball history rarely gets to experience firsts, but the Kentucky Wesleyan College menâs basketball team accomplished another first on Saturday in a 71-62 win over Walsh. The victory marks the first time in school history the Panthers defeated Walsh. The Cavaliers have produced two buzzer beaters at the Sportscenter in recent years as well as defeating Wesleyan in the Great Midwest Conference Championship last season.

KWC men down Malone 90-82
The beginning, middle, and end on Thursday night in Osborne Hall belonged to
Wyatt Battaile. The trio each shouldered the offensive load at different points during the game and each helped the Kentucky Wesleyan College men’s basketball team pick-up a 90-82 win over Malone. In total four players reached double figures in the Great Midwest Conference victory.
The Panthers (6-4, 5-4 GMAC) playing their first of three games in a five day stretch jumped out to a quick lead and was firing on all cylinders.

OWENSBORO, Ky. (WFIE) - The Kentucky Wesleyan College menâs basketball team battled nationally ranked No. 18 Hillsdale College on Saturday, but ultimately fell 66-63 at The Owensboro Sportscenter. It was a nail-biting 40 minutes of action as neither team led by more than 8 points.
Wesleyan trailed by six at the half before back-to-back threeâs from Wyatt Battaile and Zach Hopewell evened the score at 30 less than five minutes into the second half. In the final 16 minutes of play, the two teams traded the lead 10 times.
