Travis County Emergency Services District 1 firefighters are headed to the Texas panhandle to assist in fighting several large blazes burning more than 275,000 acres.
The Nimitz-class aircraft carrier suffered an electrical fire in a forward compartment on the ship. Sailors quickly cut power and extinguished the fire.
The Navy said early Thursday that the cause of the fire and the extent of damage has yet to be determined but added that foul play does not appear to be a factor
