Dickinson County Supervisors Repeal Courthouse Mask Requirement By charguth April 27, 2021 11:31 am Saga Communications Spirit Lake, IA (KICD)– The Dickinson County Board of Supervisors continued a discussion Tuesday morning to determine the future of the mask requirement when inside the courthouse in Spirit Lake. The issue was originally brought forward last week, but the Supervisors opted to hold off on making a decision until hearing from local public health officials including Dr. Zach Borus. Supervisor Kim Wermerson took the side of some residents saying it is time for the mask requirement to be taken away. After another lengthy discussion the Board of Supervisors voted three to two to do away with the mask mandate inside the courthouse, effective immediately with Supervisors Tim Fairchild and Bill Leupold voting against the measure.
