Developing this morning, the Alexandria Police department is investigating an incustody death. A 54yearold male inmate had a medical emergency last night at the adult detention center. He was rushed to inova hospital, but died. The man was in the custody of the Sheriffs Office at the time of the medical emergency. He was being held on federal charges. If you look down landover road, where you see the Police Lights flashing, that is barlow road where Prince Georges County Police Headquarters is located. The headquarters is up there on the right side of the street. I was just able to confirm with police that this officer was shot and critically wounded at the district 3 station. That is a Police Station that is connected to the Police Headquarters building. As you said, that officer was shot and critically wounded. That officer taken from Prince Georges Hospital center.
