MANILA - The NationalCommission on Muslim Filipinos (NCMF) on Thursday announced that it will launch a nationwide and simultaneous "peace caravan" on Sept. 24. In a press conference, NCMF commissioner and spokesman Yusoph Mando said NCMF is joining the celebration of the National Peace Consciousness Month 2022 with the theme, "Pagkakaisa at Paghilom: Isang Bansa para sa Kapayapaan (Unity and Healing: One Nation for Peace)." "This is essential to ensure that the future generations in the country grow up with an enlightened understanding of peace and never opt for war. Yes, attaining peace isn't easy and requires a lot of effort from all members of the community," Mando said.
