Belarus counts on the West rethinking its policy towards it, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Belarus Yuri Ambrazevich said at a meeting of the Council for Sustainable Development, BelTA has learned.
Yuri Ambrazevich said: “The latest statements by UN Secretary General Antonio Guterres, who spoke in favor of reintegration of agricultural products and fertilizers from Belarus, Russia, and Ukraine into the global market through the removal of Western sanctions, including sanctions affecting the potash industry, inspire hope."
During the meeting Yuri Ambrazevich mentioned the Belarusian government's adherence to developing and encouraging human rights in the country, including in compliance with the country's international commitments.
Yuri Ambrazevich said he was satisfied with Belarus' successful cooperation with UNICEF and thanked UNICEF for the effective support meant to bolster the national potential for ensuring and protecting children's rights.
