The Kains Street property has been bought for Project Tiny Hope, St. Thomas-Elgin YWCA’s ambitious supported-housing initiative to fight homelessness through its partnership with Doug Tarry Homes and Sanctuary Homes, a faith-based non-profit pursuing affordable housing. While the purchase price of the property was not disclosed, it was made possible by a $200,000 donation from Sanctuary.
