Music knows no borders, as evidenced by Malaysian singer-songwriter Froya and Japanese pop outfit Uqiyo s upcoming collaborative single,
invisible.
It all started when Froya met with the band members of Uqiyo for a co-writing session at Niigata, Japan, in early 2020.
The collaborative track invisible drops March 5.
“Having family and friends from and currently living in Niigata, I was very familiar with the city. This time, I tried to see Niigata through Froya’s eyes as it was her first-time experiencing snow, and the city. I wanted to express this experience in an infinitely detailed and deeply layered manner, Uqiyo frontman Yuqi Kato recalls the inspiration for the song in a press statement.
