Nobody: High action fun, but not for the squeamish Nobody: High action fun, but not for the squeamish Gone are the days when a film can get away with senseless violence without there being some kind of ‘art’ to it. That’s not because of cancel culture, morals or the like, but instead simply because of what audiences expect from films these days. Yes, gone are the days when an audience would happily sit and watch an action hero blowing away bad guys for 90 minutes – story was optional. Nobody offers action-packed male escapist fantasy

Full price Full price Ilya Naishuller (Hardcore Henry) directs this script by Derek Kolstad (John Wick) about seemingly mild-mannered family man Hutch Mansell (Bob Odenkirk), whose life is in a comfortable rut. Then one night two house invaders rob his family s home, imperiling his wife Becca (Connie Nielsen); son, Blake (Gage Munroe); and young daughter, Abby (Paisley Cadorath). Movie review / Nobody (MA) | Canberra CityNews

“Nobody” (MA) and a half DRIVING home at the end of the day’s movies, I pondered what to say about writer Derek Kolstad’s actioner about a man pushed beyond the peaceful limits in which he has chosen to live out his declining years. Bob Odenkirk plays retired FBI agent Hutch, who gets heavily pissed off when a couple of young hoodlums invades his family home in search of loot.  Meanwhile, across town, from a club where young adults go to get their rocks off, Yulian Kuznetsov (Aleksey Serebryakov), an inflated ego if ever there was one, leads a coterie of more mature hoods in search of wealth and notoriety unhindered by local law.
