BANDON, Ore. – Oregon battled through a more difficult scoring day in round two of the Bandon Dunes Championship at Bandon Trails to shoot 5 over and remain in third place going into the final round. Nate Stember continues to lead the way for the Ducks, as he sits just two shots off the lead in a tie for second place individually.
How It Happened: Yuki Moriyama turned in the low round of the day for the Ducks, shooting a 1-under 70 to move into a tie for 12th place at 1 under overall. The freshman had a stellar round going through 14 holes, sitting at 3 under on the day as he got to the par-4 13th. He would bogey that hole followed by another at 15 but was still the only Duck to shoot under par in the second round.
TOP-FIVE FINISH IN THE DESERT
Oregon turned in its best finish of the young 2021 season the last time out, coming in tied for fourth at the Wyoming Desert Intercollegiate. A pair of Ducks finished in the top 15, with Tom Gueant coming in tied for eighth and Yuki Moriyama turning in the best finish of his freshman season in a tie for 13th. Oregon was in the top five after all three rounds, heading into the third round in a tie for second before posting the first top-five finish of the year.

It wasn’t long before Moriyama an art director at animation studio Polygon Pictures was hooked as well. “It’s the type of film that, once you get into it, it becomes quite addictive,” he says of the straightforward mech vs. kaiju battles.
Now, Moriyama and the team at Polygon are releasing their own take on the franchise. Created in collaboration with Legendary Television and writers Greg Johnson and Craig Kyle,
