may be red flag legislation. which would allow authorities to seize guns from someone considered to be a danger to themselves or others. 19 states already have their own red flag laws. including republican-controlled florida and indiana. house majority leader steny hoyer tweeted yesterday he will bring a national red flag bill to the floor for a vote in june. facebook is defending itself following reports that the gunman posted about his plans for violence minutes before opening fire. in a tweet yesterday, a company spokesman wrote the messages were sent in a private chat. and therefore were not discovered until after the attack occurred. one person the gunman reportedly revealed his plans to was a 15-year-old girl in germany. according to the screen shots provided to the new york times, the teenager met the shooter earlier this month on a live streaming app called yubo.
