“She brings a strong care for students, and her advocacy for their needs assures everyone is staying focused on our primary goals,” said Yreka Union High School District Superintendent and YHS principal Mark Greenfield, who commended her for her achievement. He said her experiences as a counselor and as a sports official have given her an unique perspective of school operations and student life.
“Her leadership is obvious to all that know and work with her,” Greenfield said. “She has blended in from day one to become a great colleague and member of our team.
“It means a lot to be recognized for this honor,” said Daws, noting that its made more special because she was chosen by her fellow administrators.
