CATSKILL â The Greene County Police Reform and Reinvention Collaborative looked at ways to build positive relationships between police and the community Wednesday.
The collaborative was formed in August in response to a state executive order in June requiring all municipalities with a police agency to conduct a review of police policies and procedures and develop a plan to improve them in a way that will address the needs of the community.
Wednesdayâs meeting, originally scheduled for Nov. 24, was postponed due to the increase in COVID-19 cases and moved to Zoom. Speakers from local agencies that serve residents struggling with addiction or who are in recovery discussed their relationship with the Greene County Sheriffâs Office.
