Noor Warns Action if Security Does Not Improve
Atta Mohammad Noor, the CEO of the Jamiat-e-Islami party, speaking at a gathering in Mazar-e-Sharif, the capital of Balkh province, on Thursday addressed government leaders: If you are not able to improve the security situation of the country, then let us take action.
Noor urged President Ghani to not arm the murderers of the people of Afghanistan because the outcome will not be good,” without giving details. If the government does not pay attention to areas lacking security, then we must take action and we don t care if they call them militia. Noor said.

Rasheed s assassination was also condemned by the United States, which has been pushing the Taliban and the Afghan government to end a war that has kept western forces in Afghanistan for more than 19 years.
Hailing Rasheed as a tireless advocate for democracy , the US State Department said his voice could not be silenced. The future of Afghanistan cannot be foreclosed by murder but must be resolved at the negotiating table, it said on Twitter.
Rasheeds’s Family Calls on Intl Community to Probe Murder
The family of Yousuf Rasheed, CEO of the Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan (FEFA), who was killed in Kabul by unknown gunmen on Wednesday, has called on the international community and human rights defending organizations to help probe the attack on him and ensure that justice is served on the perpetrators.
Rasheed’s friends and family members have said that they cannot trust the government of Afghanistan to probe his assassination.
Rasheed’s brother said that he worked tirelessly for the rights of the people and democracy in Afghanistan and democratic values.

The US Department of State Bureau of South and Central Asian Affairs on Wednesday condemned the barbaric and senseless assassination of Yousuf Rasheed, CEO of the Free and Fair Election Forum of Afghanistan (FEFA).
“We join the Afghan people in condemning this barbaric and senseless assassination of Yousuf Rasheed, who was a tireless advocate for democracy. We offer our heartfelt condolences to his family and friends,” tweeted the bureau.
The High Council of National Reconciliation (HCNR) on Wednesday said that the meeting of the leadership committee of the council will be convened in the near future where it will clarify its main demands for the agenda of the peace negotiations.
VP Danish: Enemy Attacks Meant to Create Chaos
Afghanistan’s Second Vice President Mohammad Sarwar Danish, referring to the recent spate of targeted killings in the country, said on Thursday that the enemies of Afghanistan are attacking the achievements of the nation.
“The enemy has targeted the (nation s) gains to create fear and chaos and disappointment, or to provoke the people against each other, to create distance between the people and the government, to score points in the peace process or to push the talks toward a stalemate,” said Danish at the National Human Rights Defenders Conference.
Danish said the enemy has attacked rule of law, human rights, freedom of speech, journalists, judges and human rights defenders.
