public debate where you can be asked questions that are not you are not getting positive pitches questions that you have been told ahead of time. just fair for the american people to know who these to know these leaders and to hear whether a their thoughts are. steve: and you know, it s not just on the republican side. and there you can see the people who have qualified for the debate. it s on the democrat side. historically, if you are an incumbent president, you do not. lawrence: you don t do it. steve: you don t debate. however a suffolk poll showed that 80% of primary voters want to have a primary debate and, of course, that would involve joe biden, marianne and r.f.k. jr. ainsley: i would watch it. i wish biden would debate but you know he won t they will not let him do that. steve: nope. lawrence: on the republican side. i m not one of those who tries to get in the head of the former president because is he so unpredictable. i think that s one of his appeals. i
you are going to run for president, of course. but what would be your first critique of donald trump? i think a lot of folks say. i m going to go back to 2016. i saw a lot of candidates tried to bait him on policy. look, you don t debate donald trump on policy. the guy has massive insecurities, he s a loser, he lost many times. he lost races in new hampshire, not just for himself but for my fellow candidates. he really got behind bad candidates that were extreme and obviously could not win in november. if you can t win in november than you shouldn t even be in the discussion. you think the best argument is he s a loser? yes, because he can t win. i want to ask you about something from the town hall this week. one of the things that struck me was the laughter in the audience particularly when he was talking about e. jean carroll. the jury says he sexually abused and defamed her and now has to pay her in making up the audience but these are people in the audience from new

outside a school resource officers and the teacher wants to be trained and have a system in place to get appropriate training, not just a guy, mr. smith the calculus teacher carries a gun. you have right training in protocols and know that. we ve made tens of millions of dollars an investment in new hampshire around the harding over schools. around investigating in our safety. it s not about whether someone has a gun, or the training, we have that of course. it s really about lockdown systems, communication, safe doors, all that sort of thing. those things can [interpreter] sound small but in a moment of that crisis they can be very big deal. so we take that very seriously teachers across the country don t necessarily want to be armed. police groups, they are now calling for more teachers to be armed. nor are first responders calling for more teachers to be armed. i m not calling for teachers to be armed other than to say that schools should have the ability to provide some type of
