Seattle – Shohei Ohtani scored a run, drove in another and stole a base Saturday for the Los Angeles Angels in a 10-5 win over the Seattle Mariners.
Batting second in the lineup as the designated hitter, Ohtani scored in the first inning on a Mike Trout home run after drawing a walk against Seattle starter Ljay Newsome (1-1) and stealing second base.

Los Angeles – Right-hander Kenta Maeda gave up three homers in taking his second loss of the season as the slumping Minnesota Twins were beaten 7-4 by the Cleveland Indians on Tuesday.
Maeda (1-2) was charged with five runs, including two homers by Franmil Reyes and a homer and an RBI double by Jose Ramirez, in 5⅔ innings at Progressive Field in Cleveland, Ohio, and was unable to help the Twins from losing four straight games and 13 of their last 15.

St. Petersburg, Florida – Texas Rangers rookie Kohei Arihara pitched 5⅔ scoreless innings to record his first major league win in the visitors’ 5-1 victory over the Tampa Bay Rays on Wednesday night.
At Tropicana Field, Arihara (1-1), who was 0-1 after two starts this season and pitching on four days’ rest, allowed two singles and a double in the longest outing of his short major league career. He also struck out five and walked none.
