Kekkaishi since 2015 when it was getting its dub on the Neon Alley service of all things. What a difference a few years make! Now, the 52-episode series that originally ran from 2006 to 2008 is getting some new attention as the folks at Discotek Media have picked it up. They’ve acquired the streaming rights for it with plans to bring it to Crunchyroll initially and potentially through other services later. They don’t have any news on home video release plans at this time.
The series is based on the manga of the same name from Yellow Tanabe, which Viz Media also released, that ran from 2003 to 2011 for thirty-five volumes. The show also got a Cartoon Network run at one point as well.
