Preston Crown Court heard how the family, with their beloved Yorkshire Terrier Troy, died after being struck by Logan s Peugeot 206 in Dalton, Cumbria, on June 21 last year.  The silver car mounted the kerb and hit the family before smashing into a tree at around 2.30pm.

David Logan faces years in jail after Dalton death crash

A MAN who knocked down and killed a dad and his two children while on a Fathers’ Day walk in Dalton-in-Furness has appeared in court. Former soldier David Logan, 47, will be sentenced on Monday for causing the deaths of Joshua Flynn, 37, his son Coby-Jay, 15, and daughter Skylar, 12, by dangerous driving on June 21 last year. The family, along with their Yorkshire Terrier Troy, died after being struck by a Peugeot 206 driven by Logan on Abbey Road. The vehicle mounted the kerb and collided with the family before hitting a tree. In a family statement, Mr Flynn’s wife Emma said she was “heartbroken” to learn of the deaths of her family, saying her world had been “turned upside down” by the tragedy.
