Grants offered to run school holiday activities programme

Holiday activities for children ORGANISATIONS in Craven are being invited to apply for a grant to deliver healthy holiday activities for young people. A wide-ranging programme of sports coaching, creative and performing arts sessions and healthy eating are set to be rolled out for children and young people during the summer holidays. And, North Yorkshire County Council has commissioned North Yorkshire Together – a partnership between Rural Arts, North Yorkshire Sport and North Yorkshire Youth - to oversee a programme of diverse holiday activities. As the summer holidays approach, North Yorkshire Together is inviting other organisations to join them in providing the FEAST holiday activities programme. It is encouraging holiday activity providers – including voluntary groups, sports coaching organisations, arts organisations and schools – to apply for a grant to provide summer holiday activities.

As the first anniversary of lockdown approaches, new figures revealed today show that over £1.2 billion of good causes funding has been awarded by The National Lottery in the UK during the last year, providing a much-needed boost for the arts, heritage, sport and community/charity sector.
