An Inverness mental health charity has received £2000 from the Yorkshire Building Society Charitable Foundation. Mikeysline received the funding after being nominated by colleagues at the society’s Inverness branch for financial support. The charity has been operating across the Highland area since 2005, providing suicide prevention, crisis intervention and mental health awareness support. The work of the charity has significantly grown over the past year in response to a growing need for its services during the coronavirus pandemic. Mikeysline was recognised as the 2020 Covid community welfare champion at the recent Highland Third Sector Interface Awards for the level of support provided during lockdown and its ongoing development of services.
