Betty Jane Besok Walters
MAYVILLE Betty Jane Besok Walters, 93, of Mayville, formerly of Olean, passed away peacefully at her home on Sunday, April 25, 2021.
She was born October 23, 1927, in Olean, N.Y., the daughter of the late John J. and Helen Reese Besok.
Betty graduated from Olean High School in 1945. She had worked for New York Telephone Company in Olean as an operator; retiring as a clerk in their engineering department. She also had a ceramic shop for many years and enjoyed knitting, crocheting, quilting, (donating many baby and children items to the local hospitals.) She enjoyed watching the birds that came to her front window birdfeeders, doing crossword puzzles, going to garage sales and spending time with her family.
