New apartments for University of Michigan students coming to Ann Arbor’s Main Street

ANN ARBOR, MI Plans for a new 36-bed apartment building catering to University of Michigan students are now approved for development on Ann Arbor’s Main Street.
City Council voted unanimously Tuesday night, Feb. 16, to OK the project at 907 and 913 S. Main St.
“We are seeking to break ground late spring or early summer with the goal of completion prior to July 2022,” said Satch Chada of New York City-based Nest Capital Management LLC, the UM alumnus behind the project.
Two rental houses are to be demolished and replaced by a three-story building with six six-bedroom apartments.
