The New York Home Energy Affordable Transition Act, or NY HEAT Act, would, among other measures, enshrine into the state’s public service law the state’s climate change goals and allow the state greater oversight of gas utility companies as it seeks to scale back and ultimately end its reliance on fossil fuels.
